By joining our volunteer team, you help make mental-health care accessible to newcomers and immigrants individuals and families facing barriers due to language, cost, or adjustment stress. intake & assessment
Clinical volunteers play a vital role in the intake and assessment process. They assist in the triage and eligibility review by integrating both mental-health and financial information to determine timely and equitable access to care.
These volunteers help ensure that those with the greatest need receive support first while maintaining the ethical and professional standards that guide all CircleUp programs.
Clinical volunteers also participate in initial consultations to clarify the nature of a client’s needs and to help connect them with the appropriate therapist or program.
Requirements:

Graduate-level education (Master’s degree or above) in Psychology, Social Work, or a related clinical field

Understanding of mental-health ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity
-
Experience conducting or assisting with intake or preliminary assessments

Current, eligible, or preparing for registration with a regulatory body in Ontario (e.g., CRPO, OCSWSSW, CPO) preferred
-
Availability of approximately 4–6 hours per month
All clinical volunteers receive orientation, supervision, and access to training on CircleUp’s triage and ethical protocols.
Administrative
Administrative volunteers are essential to the day-to-day operations of CircleUp.
They help ensure that every client and clinician stays connected and supported by assisting with:

Scheduling and confirming appointments

Managing cancellations and re-bookings

Tracking forms and documentation

Coordinating communication between clients and clinicians

Supporting general administrative tasks for program coordination
This role is ideal for organized, detail-oriented individuals who want to contribute to mental-health accessibility through behind-the-scenes impact.
Requirements:

Strong organizational and communication skills

Comfortable working with online scheduling systems and forms (training provided)

Availability of 3–5 hours per week (remote or hybrid options)

Background in mental health (e.g., Psychology/Social work students)
