psycho-educational support

CircleUp’s psycho-educational assessment program provides comprehensive, high-quality evaluations for children and adolescents experiencing academic, cognitive, or emotional challenges. We recognize that many newcomers and immigrants individuals and families in Ontario face barriers such as prohibitive costs, language differences, and unfamiliarity with the local education system.

Our goal is to bridge that gap and ensure every child receives the understanding and support they need to thrive.Through a tiered and subsidized model, CircleUp makes assessments accessible to families who face financial difficulties. We believe that no child’s future should be limited by financial barriers or lack of access to care and diagnostic services.

our approach

Each assessment is conducted by a team of experienced and licensed clinicians, including psychologists and psychometrists.

While full evaluations can only be conducted in English, our multi-lingual professionals can provide official summaries or translations of previous assessments and administer nonverbal tests to support recommendations for accommodations and further care, in collaborations with the education system.

We collaborate closely with parents, schools, and educators to interpret results and develop practical, individualized support plans.

Areas of care

Assessments explore cognitive, academic, and emotional functioning to help identify:

  • Learning strengths and needs

  • Attention and executive function challenges

  • Emotional or behavioral factors affecting learning

  • Recommendations for accommodations and next steps in school support

All assessments are completed in accordance with Ontario standards and are accepted by schools across the province.

how does it work?

Access to care is determined through a triage process that takes into account both the urgency of clinical needs and each client’s financial situation. Following this process, clients are matched with therapists and programs based on their specific needs and availability. Most services are substantially subsidized, and some are fully covered.
This approach ensures that individuals and families experiencing acute distress or limited means receive timely, equitable access to therapy and assessment services while maintaining fairness and sustainability across all programs.
