Therapy for children
Our children's programs provide culturally grounded, developmentally appropriate mental health support for newcomers and immigrants children in Ontario. We use play-based and creative approaches to help children process emotions, build coping skills, and thrive during challenging times.
our approach
We use play-based therapy and developmentally appropriate methods designed to help children express emotions, build coping skills, and feel understood and supported. Our therapists work closely with parents and caregivers, offering guidance and collaboration to extend the benefits of therapy beyond the session.
All services are available in English and Hebrew, with both virtual and in-person options. Our team tailors each approach to the child’s age and needs, creating a warm and engaging environment that fosters trust, confidence, and emotional growth.

how does it work?
Access to care is determined through a triage process that takes into account both the urgency of clinical needs and each client’s financial situation. Following this process, clients are matched with therapists and programs based on their specific needs and availability. Most services are substantially subsidized, and some are fully covered.
This approach ensures that individuals and families experiencing acute distress or limited means receive timely, equitable access to therapy and assessment services while maintaining fairness and sustainability across all programs. Click "Contact us" to complete an initial form and our team will be in touch within 24 hours. If you are experiencing an emergency call 911 or click here for targeted emergency resources.

Outcomes
While therapy cannot guarantee specific outcomes, we aim to help children manage emotions such as anxiety, fear, or frustration, strengthen their sense of safety and confidence, and build social and communication skills. Through play-based activities and collaboration with parents, we help children develop healthy coping strategies, improve focus and sleep, and support their overall emotional and developmental growth.
