parental guidance

CircleUp’s parental guidance program provides a supportive and professional space for parents navigating the emotional and developmental needs of their children. We understand that raising children in a new country, or while coping with stress and change, can be deeply challenging.

Our goal is to help parents build confidence, strengthen relationships, and foster emotional wellbeing at home.

Through a tiered and subsidized model, CircleUp ensures that newcomers families in the Greater Toronto Area can access individualized, culturally sensitive guidance.

our approach

Parental guidance sessions are led by licensed clinicians experienced in child development, family systems, and cross-cultural adjustment. Our approach focuses on supporting children through anxiety, transitions, and behavioral challenges while helping families improve communication and strengthen emotional connection. We also guide parents in effective co-parenting, stress management, and understanding the impact of trauma or relocation on family dynamics, fostering a more balanced and supportive home environment.

Our multilingual clinicians help parents feel understood and supported in the language that feels most natural. Services are provided on and individual or group basis based on need and availability of programs.

what we help with

how does it work?

Access to care is determined through a triage process that takes into account both the urgency of clinical needs and each client’s financial situation. Following this process, clients are matched with therapists and programs based on their specific needs and availability. Most services are substantially subsidized, and some are fully covered.

This approach ensures that individuals and families experiencing acute distress or limited means receive timely, equitable access to therapy and assessment services while maintaining fairness and sustainability across all programs.
